A blinking light means a chance to damage the cats. If an Autozone isn't very far away, they'll pull codes for free. See what code/s it has.

Good day,

There a number of reasons the CEL will blink... All point towards engine or Cat damage... I suspect your issue is a misfire or multiple misfires... This has happened to me on several occassions... Check this article out...

http://www.buzzle.com/articles/check...-flashing.html

They state that even a loose or missing gas cap can cause your CEL to blink... All in all, get the codes read ASAP... Report back with all the codes so we can take the next step...

Good luck!!

Cheers!!

Recheck the plug and wire on that cylinder.

i took the plug out of cylinder 8 and it looked new just a little dirty, so i wiped it with a clean rag and put it back in, fired it up and seems to be running fine, took it to get the codes cleared so we will see if any of them come back, still curious as to why it started misfiring

if the problem comes back pull the plug and test your compression you could have a bad head gasket
