This truck is right down the street from me for sale. My dad had a 97 2wd 4.6 and it used to have some weird problems starting even when it was near new, but that was all. I'm pretty sure it was a early 97.

Any opinions on it? Most I think I would give them is $5k.

yea..., my buddy sold his '98, lifted, 120K miles, oversized offroad tires, brush guard, exhaust, side steps, toolbox and new gears for only $5,700 so...i wouldn't pay 5K for a 97 that looks pretty stock. Still a nice lookin truck, just...not worth a whole lot money wise...

 

Depends... If the truck is in good condition, the interior is nice, not a million miles on it, power everything.. Then yeah it could very well bring that much money. The problem you run into with selling a truck that is lifted and has all kinds of accessories on it is that not everybody wants a truck with massive tires that cost like a grand to replace and have to use a ladder to get in. Vehicles that are stock tend to bring what they are worth.. More than vehicles that have all kinds of mods done to it.. Depends on what the consumer wants.
