Im about to put a new carrier assembly in my 97 f150 8.8 355. After taking differential cover and tires off i noticed side play in my old carrier. If i push and pull my axle you can see my old carrier moving side to side. Is this normal or is it possible my shims are worn. What esle should I look at before installing new carrier.
