i have a 97 4.6L v8 triton and i was wondering what i could do to make it louder. i already cut off the muffler but thats it. i was wondering which cats i could cut off, and if i could.

 

you can cut out or gut the back two cats and not throw a code as long as you keep the o2 sensors in their stock location. In terms of a muffler or cat back set up there are a ton of different things you could do. For raw sound you could run true duals with glass packs. If you want a nice rumble go with a good brand name muffler like flowmaster, cherrybomb, or magnaflow. You can check out their products on their websites to see which ones are the loudest. Some of the websites have sound clips you can listen to. If you dont want to buy a muffler and your inspection laws are pretty relaxed you can just cut the muffler off that would be pretty loud.

I have true duals with a h pipe and no mufflers and its fairly loud. there are some videos of it on here somewhere
