Default 97 4x4 axle nut

I searched on here and everyone seems to have a different opinion on what the size is. I seen 32mm, 34,35,36mm. I doubt ford used 4 different sizes on the same model truck. Anyone have a solid answer on size? Thanks.

I would call Ford and get it straight from the guys that work on it. Or, you could get a maintenance/repair manual for your year truck and it would be in there. That would be a lot better than taking the word of some guy you've never met, especially if you're getting a bunch of different answers on it.

Better yet, drive to advanced auto, knock the center cap off, cotter pin and retainer and ask to try a 36 and see if it fits... It'll take no time at all to do so
