97 4.6 Misfiring/Sputtering under load
Yes, just remove the Schrader valve and re hook up the gauge. It should not spray fuel all over with the gauge hooked up
Take a fuel sample by cycling the key once or twice with the Schrader valve out and the port hooked up to a coke bottle or other container with a 1/4 inch hose
Take a fuel pump volume measurement if the fuel pump runs, It should fill up a 16 ounce coke bottle in about 10 seconds
Have fun

I've had this issue before. Turned out to be loose connection of plug wire on to of the coil pack. It literally kept backing off. Press down on each one, making sure it is on secure. If one "clicks" back into place, that's the problem.
So, I borrowed a pressure gauge, and couldn't get it to read anything, borrowed another one and that one wouldn't read either. After looking online, it seems that many kits do not engage the Shroeder valve enough to read. Any tips on that? some say to remove the core from the valve, but wouldn't that spray fuel everywhere? Besides that I am still not sure what could be the issue....
ever find the solution to this issue ?
