Exactly. Regular bulbs usually run at about 26 watts and LEDs at about 3 so to the truck, it's a huge difference.

I am trying to convert all my interior lights to led. I ordered some and they sent me the wrong ones for some of them so can y'all tell me which size will fit the map lights that are in the same case as the dome light and which one will fit the back seat map lights and the vanity mirror lights. I looked at them and they look like fuses. I have a 2001 supercrew lariat. I need the bulb size so that I can order them. If anybody knows the help would be greatly appreciated!

For a SuperCrew you need 5 578 bulbs for the dome and map lights and 2 194 bulbs for the door lights.

They are 29mm festoon bulbs.

I ordered THESE from e-bay. Cheap and bright (maybe too bright?). More than you need, but having a few extra bulbs is not a bad thing.

You can also order a set of 2 bulbs for $1.46 (so $2.92 for both visors).

Question on LED colors.

I'm looking at superbrightleds.com and they offer the bulb I need in several colors. I've got a 97 F150 with the blue backing on the gauges... should I buy the cool white LEDs or the blue LEDs to get the bright blue color on my cluster?

I'm just not sure how the color of the LED will react with the blue backing.

Thanks.

I also have a 97 with the blue backing and I used the white ones and it makes the color brighter and easier to see.
