Default 9.75 carrier

I'll a carrier out of a expedition, fit in an f-150's axel? For example, I have the 9.75 rear end with out posi and 4.56 gears, will the posi carrier out of a expeditions 9.75 rear ended work as well? I don't see why it wouldn't?

The only difference is the number of splines on the axles. The newer trucks have 34. Older trucks have 31. Other than that, they're all the same.
