Hey ToddBlack, I'm in the same situation, but mine are the 6x9 Polks. I want to put 6x9s all the way around, and just use the factory wires.

so, Plus one...Is there is easy way to just jam them in the there...without messup up the window components?

It's not happening, they're too big. I took my door apart to see once since I had some 6x9's around and they touched the window before they were in deep enough to clear the panel.

I put infinity reference 6x8s in my 07 XLT. I used the factory wires but I needed an adapter. There is a ton of info out there. I used fat mat on the rear doors.

John and BrowningScrew, Thanks for the info. Knowing this...I'm just going to do the fronts with a two way 6 inch speakers. Then, just a self enclosed 10 inch Kicker in the rear with two Polk self enclosed speakers. Mosfet 400 watts to the sub. Another 400 watts, Kenwood for the 4 speakers.

My head unit is wicked nice. 7 inch flip out touch screen from Jensen.

I hope taking out the stock head unit is not going to be difficult. Utube I hope with help.

OP, sorry to high jack, but I thought this might be relevant to your sound work, too.

You'd be surprised what 4 Powerbass 6x8s can do in the cab of a F150....they sound pretty damn good and put out a decent amount of bass...

I ran into same question. Answered myself by looking and tearing apart cab (reg cab). Tey just won't fit. So my friend an I are building a custom box to hold two 10s and two 6x9s. And run 6x9 off of the reg speaker wires just lengthen them and the 2 10s well amp and all that. Any pointers. Never done this before. First or everything lol.

'm running 6.5" Infinity Kappa Perfect components with a RF pro 500.4 and a RF T0 12" with a RF Pro 600.1. Using a RF 3sixty.3 Sound processor. But I dont have a radio. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 for a head unit.

Infinity Kappas are good. Check them out on Amazon. Usually some are on sale.
