6in fabtech and crank the T-Bars?

I have the 6in Fabtech on my truck and I want to run 37's again but I want to get more lift out of my truck.... I wouldn't mind getting a body lift but I can't do to my winch in front coming out of the bumper and fitting perfect in there.... Has anyone else with the 6in fab cranked the Tbars? Or is there another way to get my truck bigger? haha

Old member, some time ago by the name of twin had the fabtech (iirc) cranked up for 37's. Beast of a truck. I'm pretty sure he was on this forum too. He had a red screw 10th gen.

Yes you can over crank them with the fabtech lift. I would recommend taking the front axle spacers to a machine shop and have them remove 1/8" from the back side of the spacer. It will give the axles more room to flew and help prevent binding.

Twin's old truck, had 6" fabtech, cranked T bars and 2" AALs in the back with 37s, he also had 38 irocs at one point

98blue54 had 6" lift with tbars crand with 37s... before it was rolled. I think it had a 1" AAL in the rear but you don't need the AAL to fit a 37 in the rear. I got 6" Fab and theres plenty of room for 37s. I'm looking at a used set right now.

I ran 37's last summer but I couldn't run them with out taking the fender flares in the front off..... I want to run 37's again but keep the flares on and lets face it...... I want my truck bigger haha

Here is a pic with the 37's on it last summer and the 6in fabtech

So how many cranks should I go? I don't want to over crank it... Whats the highest I can go and still be safest on the truck?

Carcrazygts2 05-02-2012 11:22 PM

According to Fabtech you set them to 29.25" from center of the wheel well to the center of the hub loaded. So you can add at least another 2". I have over cranked them on many trucks to 31.25"-31.75"

So your saying I can get at least another 2in out of it?

Carcrazygts2 05-02-2012 11:43 PM

Yes. The last one I installed was set at 31" and was on a 97 Scab 5.4 an it clears 37's with minor trimming on the inner part of the fender flair..
