Default 5 Speed to Automatic swap

Ive got a 2003 F150 v6 5 speed that ive had for about 10 years. It still runs/drives great but I'm VERY sick of changing gears. Ive just come across a 2000 F150 V6 Auto with a bad engine. My plan was to get the parts truck and swap out all of the Auto parts into my truck. My main question is the electronics for the transmission, Would I have to change the main ECM or is there a separate control box for the transmission? Would my wiring harness be the same? Thanks, Dustin

You will need a new ecm and a new harness from the auto vehicle.

The engine / transmission harness.
Where are you located? I've got a 4.2 auto that I'd like to do a manual conversion on. I'm in SC
