Cool 5.4 upgrades

As of today my Supercrew is my only transportation. I am looking in to increasing MPG's. Anybody out there have some proven tips? Headers and exaust are tempting however do they actualy increase MPGs? I am a fan of long tubes, but as far as MPGs are concerned are the worth the price. Also what exaust tube diameter works best for the 5.4?

chip or a programmer would probably help, but then you have to run a higher octane fuel with most of them

Not Being a dic k but I saw you were new, Theres a search button at the top of the page.

Long tubes would be the only way to go,

open exhaust, C.A.I. E-fans are all things that makes the motor run easier, so in turn will increase the mpg and HP if you can keep your foot out of it.
