I have a 03 f150 with the 5.4 and i am having a little problem with my 4 wheel drive. The system engages and still works but when I start to drive it feels like there is drag kind of like driving with the parking brake applied. Any thoughts on what to check out. Thanks

 

Are you driving on pavement or off road?

 

Not on pavement just the horse pasture out back. Never had this problem last winter. But I did need to get a wheel bearing replaced over the summer I know there are many options to this problem but i want an idea of what to look at before i take it in so i dont get screwed by the shop.

 

I would take the wheel off and rotate the hub that has the questionable bearing to feel for any drag.
