Ok, I've done some searching, and have not found the answer. I have a '00 F150 4X4, and my four wheel drive does not work. when shifting I can definatly feel the transfer gears meshing, but I think that the front axle is not engaging. Also, the "4X4" light on the dash doesn't come on. Is the sensor that turns on the light the same one that tells what ever solanoid to engage the axle? Is there a cable replacement for the vacuem plunger on the axle? My buddy had one on his Chevy because they were notorious for not working, + it was nice to leave it disengaged and have 2 wheel low.
