Default 4x4 not working

hey guys i got a 97 f150 4.6 and the 4x4 isnt working. When i turn the *** it shows on the dash and the driveshaft turns but the front wheels dont turn. But there is a red plug thing that is hanging. I traced it back and it runs in front of radiator and is connected to a vaccuum line over by the washer fluid. Does anyone no where it would plug in? its a three prong. And would this solve my problem?

There are 3 lines running from the front axle. Two are connected to the vacuum actuator motor on the front axle and the third is the front differential vent line. they snake their way up the engine to the vacuum solenoids on the fire wall beind the battery. There is a 3 way connector somewhere mid way between the axle and the firewall. If the lines are disconnected the front axle will not engage.

I just noticed this red 3 prong plug that is just sitting down by the motor mount on my drivers side. Mind you my truck is a 4.2l 2wd truck but I was wondering the same thing where does it plug into? Truck runs fine but if anybody has an answer that would be awesome.

EDIT: NEVER MIND IT'S MY BLOCK HEATER CORD I TRACED IT TO MY FRONT BUMPER THE ORIGINAL ENGINE HAD A BLOCK HEATER FROM THE FACTORY .

Here are a couple of pictures for clarification.

Thanks,
