My second hand 97 F-150 4x4 light keeps blinking, when in park or in drive. It just started recently happening. Any ideas on the problem. I'm taking it to the garage tomorrow to have it lifted and checked for any error codes, but I never had this problem before with the truck since I had it 4 years.

 

hmm check the owners manual, it should say what it means if its flashing, im thinking a malfuction with shifting in and out of 4x4

 

My 1997 started doing the same thing yesterday.Drove it this morning and its not doing it.Also when it blinks it makes a clicking noise.My truck has around 150k.on it.What else is strange is the factory stereo quit working the day before.Iv"e owned truck since new.
