So I am looking at buying a 1997 4.6 4wd auto transmission F150. It does have the manual 4we shifter (and manual locks windows and everything else). I noticed that when in 4hi there was no indicator light on the dashboard. Is there supposed to be one? This is the XL trim so I am not sure I'd that would change anything. Also there was no ABS light... do these trucks have ABS indicators? Another problem is that I cannot get it to shift into 4 low, but the seller said 4lo was probably never used and next time I go I will try shifting while rolling and have a mechanic check the linkages. Should I be worried about this?
