Default 4.6 engine swap

Just bought a 1998 F150 4x4 ext cab short bed w/o an engine 4.6. Have been given a 4.6 out of a 2000 lincolin town car will this engine work in my truck ???? I know I will have to swap the oil pan and pick up, timing cover and intake. Will it direct bolt in at trans and motor mounts and will it run with the computer of the F150 ??? Are there any other things I should know ????

Im doing the exact same swap, if you find out info pass it along please I have a 1997 4.6 using a 2000 lincoln 4.6

From what i know just make sure the engine codes are the same, F150's had winsor and romeo motors, make sure you lincoln and f150 are the same, there is a stamp W on the motor or you can check via serial number.

I am going to use my intake and oil pan and ecu, and manifolds, hopefully it runs XX

hey man just an update i have my motor out and had them side by side, they look like the exact same motor, my intake will bolt up and it will drop in and bolt to the tranny everything is the same. the only issue is i have to use my flywheel, but its 6 bolt and the lincoln is 6 bolt. Id tell you if it runs but the belhousing cracked taking it out, so now i have to wait a bit to get it welded up, fortunatly i work at a machine shop , i can post ya when its running if it helps
