Default 4.2 troubles

I have about 250k on my 4.2l it was throwing emission codes I replaced everything but the cats then it was throwing po420 and po430 ibelievesayung both cats r bad.now I'm stuck on thr side of the road truck is stumbling bad. I'm wondering if I blew engine. Low fuel light isn't on but I'm pretty low on fuel gonna try gas the a tow. Any ideas where to start looking ?

That's strange. Those codes won't cause drivibility concerns UNLESS the cats are plugged. Both cats plugged or broke up and plugged that way at the same time isn't common. Could have a kinked exhaust somewhere or perhaps someone shoved a potato in the tail pipe. That's only IF the problem is indeed exhaust related.

Yea, sucks when users don't update their threads.

Yea yourycorrect . SorrySabout that it was the fuel pump. Couldn't hear on side of a busy intersection to listen for it to prime with key. Got towed back banged on the tank and it started working again. I changed it out with a new one all is well
