Default 4.2 engine miss

’99 F150, 4.2, manual. Changed pass. exhaust manifold (old one leaking), O2 sensor on that manifold, starter, tie rods, removed and reinstalled spark plugs on pass. side while manifold was out. Now have a bad miss when accelerating, can hear popping, not sure if popping is in intake or exhaust. Changed plug wires, no change. Made sure plug wire order is correct. Suggestions? Thank You

Are you getting any codes and have you checked a code reader? If you are misfiring you should be getting a flashing service engine soon light and it will tell you which cylinder is mis-firing if there have been enough misses.

The alternative is to get something like a bafx bluetooth/wireless scanner and hook a pc or phone up with forscan or something similar and look for mis fires. Either way you'd need to know which cylinder is not firing properly.

No codes; only driven it about a mile to test it after the parts were replaced. Want to fix miss before I drive it any distance.

Thank You

Put in new spark plugs, put the plug wires that had been on there back on and the miss is gone.
Thank You
