Looks and drives awesome except I'm eating up my front end BAD. I went to a 4x4 shop for help and their options for me were 1. Lower it and go back to stock, which I would sell the truck before I do that! And 2. Install a BDS 6" lift at $2000 for the lift and $1000 for install?!?! I can't believe these are my only options? If I have to shell out the three grand to make it right then that's what I'll do. I have no problem going up to 6"! I just wish I had more options.
BDS is not the only true lift kit made for our trucks. BDS is actually one of the most expensive kits you can buy for these trucks. You can get a RCX (Rough Country) 4-5'' for around $1000, a zone 6'' lift for around $1200-1300, a RCD (Race Car Dynamics) 5-6'' kit for around $1600, a Tuff Country 4.5'' kit for also around $1600 and the fabtech 6'' kit for around $1800-2100 depending on where your order or buy from. Sometimes if you order through one of the vendors on the site they will give you a discount off the bat.

Thanks. That's awesome! I'm going to look into those kits. I was hoping I could get away with a less expensive lift kit seeing I live in Boston and don't get off road much! My main goal is to just try and relieve some of the stress on the front end.

Question. The zone lift says that it lowers the torsion bars to stock position. Does anyone know if the RCX lift does too?

I don't think the rcx does. I can't say for sure because I've never run the rcx on a 4x4. I think you will have to crank your torsion bars to achieve some of the lift with the rcx. I do know that the zone will drop your cross members down a full 6 inches (Without having to crank your torsion bars to achieve any of the lift) where the rcx won't. You still might need to crank your torsion bars after installing the zone just to level the truck out again though. There is a guy on another forum that installed the zone lift and took some good pictures of it. The site's not responding right now, but I'll post a link when it does.

Man I had the same thing happening to me...I installed a leveling kit last May and went through two sets of axles and has to replace the ball joints uppers and lowers. So that was my too options as well and my tires would not fit under my truck just turn torsion bolts so I went with a 6" zone offroad kit which is an amazing lift. I paid $1600 with lifetime warranty on any parts and paid $528 to have it installed because the company who installed it said it's such an easy kit that always lines up perfect with factory parts

Be careful with rough country...I've heard that with this lift you will get what you pay for...I was not recommended with this lift from several company's that install lifts because things will start to ware out quit but the company is based out of china so go figure...I heard rcx rides rough as hell...tuff country you will probably only get 4" out of it for your year and make. With the zone, the torsion bars are dropped down but you get a true 6"s in the front and 5" in the back so the truck will be level without riding down the road looking like your doing a wheelie...I was going to go with the pro comp but it's 6" in the front and 3.5" in the back and it was gonna cost me $800-1000 more
