I had no idea a 315 would fit under there. That's a must have for me now.

I wouldn't worry about a heat shield. My exhaust is less than an inch away from my spare and it's still fine

Oh yeah I remember seeing that now. And good to know I wonder if it'll fit under a super crew.

so hopefully I will have my new tires by mid august. I am going to get some 285/70 17 Nitto Trail Grapplers right now I have 265/70 17 crappy street tires and I was wondering would I have any noticeable power loss or anything?? I wouldn't think so but I'm just wondering since the tires won't be that much bigger. I have also been thinking about some 285/75 17 trail grapps but I don't think they would fit and I really don't want to crank the T-bars.

No you won't see a big difference in power depending on what gears you have. I went from 265/70/17 to 305/70/16 and didn't seem that bad

Just had Toyo Open Country AT II Xtreme 285/75R17 put on today. Torsion bars cranked to 23.5" fender to axle nut... Running 3.55 gears, u can feel a difference but not a deal killer. Won't hot brake but pulls ok.
