351 windsor??

Default 351 windsor??

im looking to replace my motor in my F150 i have a 1997 2wd and its a 4.6L i was wondering if anyone knew who made the motor that is in my truck. i have heard from a few people that it may be a 351 windsor is that true? thank you all for your time.

you have a triton/modular motor.

the windsors (351CI, 302CI) were done in 1996.

When they told you it may be a Windsor, it's because there are two 4.6s out there that were built at different plants - the Romeo and Windsor blocks. You can tell which one you have by looking at your vin number. The 8th digit will tell you what engine you have. If it is a "6", you have a Windsor engine, if it's a "W" it's a Romeo engine.
