Default 302 questions

Ok so i got a 302 block for free its been bored 30 over and was wondering if i need to run a different crank, pistons and rods or if just regular ones will work i really want the put this motor in my truck i will prally run it carbureted til i can get an aftermarket efi system i really want more power then my V6 has and really am confused about this any help would be nice

Well not to be a dick but you should be having a machine shop build the motor if you dont know this info.

To answer your questions, yes you will need new pistons since stock is 4.000" and your now at 4.030" being bored and No, crank and rods can be stock. As for putting this into a 97-03 truck, I would say you need to swap motor mounts and probably quite a few other things before you can install it. I know in the mustang world the whole k member has to be swapped due to the 4.6L sitting 2" further back.
