Default 2WD front wheel assembly?

Hi guys,

I have to do my brakes. Is there a 2WD front wheel assembly rotor with the wheelbearings already installed? I only find some for 4WD.

Even cooler would be a complete set for front & back including everything needed, like rotor/hub/bearings/pads.

I was able to get a complete set with everything except the bearings. Mine looked alright, but since I was pulled the rotor/hub I redid the bearings as well. I can't say that I've seen what you're describing on these trucks. But somebody may have. I went with PowerStop when I changed mine.

Bearing are separate on 2wd's before Gen 11's came out. You need to order for the front, the hub/rotors, 2 sets of BR12 (outer bearings), 2 sets of BR11 (inner bearings), 2 #4148 wheel seals.

Heared good things about PowerStop, which set did you get? KOE1915 or the upgarded K1915-36?

Thanks!

So my shopping list over at rockauto would be:

KOE1915 or K1915-36
2x TIMKEN SET12FP (outer)
2x TIMKEN SET11 (inner)
2x TIMKEN 4148 (seals)

I'm not quite sure if those $200 extra for the upgrade is justified...

For my 2001 RWD SCAB- Do these bearings have to be pressed out? Can I clean up the rotors instead of buying new? Thanks

no press needed. the outer will fall right out when removen the rotor. for the inner you have to remove the seal to take it out.

As said, the 10th gen does not have preinstalled/sealed bearings.

You need a race tool to get the new race in. New bearings need new races.
Some rotors come with a race installed, but I would not use them, they may not line up correctly with the new bearings.

Some will use a screw driver or punch to install a race, but you risk damaging it.
The tool is free to rent from major parts stores, and makes it much easier.

I am getting ready to replace mine, including hydraulic lines and hoses. If you have any feedback on your experience with the PowerStops, I would like to hear it.

I went with Powerstops, so far no problems.
