Default 2003 supercrew front end question

Just bought 03 supercrew and the control arms are basically touching the tires. It has after market rims and tires. Is there a certain spacer I can get to bring the tires out a little to move away from it a bit our do I need to replace something. Also the CV boots are busted on both sides so I wondering if I just need to replace the boot our anything else. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Congrats, you bought truck previously owned by a dumbass.

Cv boots are ripped because torsion bars were cranked up to orovide clearance for tires. Tires that still don't fit right obviously.T a pretty good chance your CV joint half shafts need to be replaced also. If they don't they will in the future. If not from the angle from getting grit in the grease due to The ripped boot

I’m seeing CV axles, shocks, most likely ball joints since torsion bars were cranked so much, spacers, bumper trimming(if not already done so). All In your near future. And if you’re gonna do it right, a proper suspension lift to eliminate so much T-bar crank that will kill suspension components. There’s also no telling what else the PO has screwed up that is yet to reveal itself.

You can get replacement Chinese CV half shaft pretty cheap.

Word on the street is they don't last if you have any torsion bar crank in your front end

And get ready to be pissed off when you price new Ford ones.

Yup. Pretty much the entire front end needs replacement here.
Looks like steering components are trashed, new upper control arms, lower ball joints, shafts, sway bar endlinks, and will need new tires when truck gets back to correct height. Maybe new rims as well (not sure what is on there). Torsion bars may also need replacement.
You may end up spending as much or more than you paid for the truck fixing this stuff.

Sorry for the bad news. Sucks when this happens.
