Default 2002 XLT dash lights

Evening
My odometer, dash lights, and radio light goes out when I turn the head lights on, turn the head lights off and they come back on. This started after I had the #30 fuse blow. Anyone run into this?
Thanks

Sounds like a dimmer switch malfunction.

It's a "bad ground" problem. Pull the kick panels and inspect the grounding points for loose or corroded connections or body rot.

Most common reason for F30 to blow is a shorted RFI cap.

Separate issues.

Have you tried rotating your dimmer switch? sounds to me it may be turned "down". if you turn it up, the dome lights will come on also.

It's not the dimmer switch... It won't cause the instrument illumination circuit to cut off when the headlights are switched on. It works the opposite way...

the RFI cap are the things that are supposed to filter noise for the radio - They are disconnected
I will check the grounds,
Thank you
