Question 2002 Ford F-150 Questions

If the test code says 420 right bank cat is bad does it mean it needs replaced on 2002 Ford F-150

I really cant afford to replace cat what else could it be to pass e-test and reset check engine. Light

A faulty sensor won't produce DTC's 420/430, -so don't waste your cash on one. Look for carbon on the heat shield, specifically the bottom of the rear cat. That's where they like to split, -across the bottom.

Or, -if you have a exhaust leak in the Y before the cat, that will definitely do it as well.
