Default 2001 5.4

New to the page ... but ive searched all over the 'net ' for some help , but not having any luck .. 2001 supercrew 4x4 automatic 160xxx miles. New plugs , coils , new intake ( old one leaked by cross over tube) , egr , dpfe, new dpfe hoses , cleaned the tb , cleaned the egr ports , tried to clean the egr tube (dont know if it helped ) cleaned maf and new air filter . Ive also cleaned for vacum leaks and cant find any ! p0401 code popped up twice in 2 weeks and has a miss once the truck is warmed up . thanks for any help

Ive already cleaned the egr ports last weekend (01-01-15) and the whole tb, the port wasnt clogged with dirty because i cleaned it back in 11 - 14 when intake was replaced . But thanks for the info .

The EGR has an orifice in it between the two tee off's going to the sensor. It might be clogged. And it might be hard to clean.

Maybe taking it out and running fuel or brake cleaner through it until you can blow air through it.

Just an idea...

Thats the idea i had , but thats the only thing that hasnt been cleaned or replaced . would that egr tube cause a miss once the trucks up to temp. ?

When mine was so rusted that it leaked like crazy....yes..it missed like hell.

I replaced it and now its running like a charm.

Cool .... Mine is rusty as crap at manifold side of the tube and it has a miss after about 45 seconds of being cranked up .i see if i can clean it or replace it
