Default 2001

I just bought another 2001 f150 and the oil pressure switch was broken at the switch therefore it's not working on the cluster is it possible that the engine could loose power like a misfire and not run the way it should if the switch is broken with connector just hanging

Doubtful. Odds are you just bought a basket case to some extent.

The oil pressure sender can tie into the ignition on some makes, but not this gen F150.

no, the 2010 would be a 3V motor, they will not interchange.

You need to stick to the same model year if possible
