Default 2000 5spd syncro problems!

Has anyone else had problems while up or downshifting into 3rd? Even with the clutch fully depressed the gear will still grind occasionally.

Probably, the third gear synchronizer is bad.

No. All over gears have never had any problems, just 3rd. Yeah I figured it was the synchro. Do you think it would be worth it to replace it? It does it occasionally, like 2-3 times a week, so Im sure eventually the gear will grind itself away, not sure how long though.

We had a work truck that we drove for quite awhile with the first gear synchro not working good. Not sure exactly how long it would have lasted. Since it was first I would just make sure I got it back in first before I stopped. Kinda like a big truck transmission.
