Default 1L3P-JA Transmission Interchangeability

Need a little help, I have a 2001 Supercrew 5.4 4x4 with a 4R70W 1L3P-7000-JA transmission.
I have found the YL3P-LA transmission out of the same year truck for far less than the 1L3P, and they are more abundant.
Is this a direct swap, or will I run into issues?

Are they both 4x4 setups?

I honestly don't see why you would have any problems at all. Should be a plug and play swap.

the YL3P is from a 2000, my truck is a 2001. So they didn't make any big changes between those years to the transmission? i am also seeing a 2L1P-FA from 2003 may fit?

If it were my truck I wouldnt hesitate to run any 4r70w from 2000 to 2003. These years all had the digital VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) so there wont be any problems. There were no real changes at all between those years to the transmissions so you should be good.

Not a problem. Make sure to check all plugs and seals on the donor before you throw it under there. Its one of the few jobs on my truck I honestly dont want to do once much less twice.
