I am a decent back yard mechanic but have never messed with the suspension, is it a 1 hour job or all day to crank the stock bars?

litterally take 20 mins from start to finish. Step 1 remove weight of vehicle from front suspension. ie. jack it up on the crossmember and put jack stands under frame rails. step 2 lube up your bolts on the crossmember where your t bars end (towards the middle of the truck) after theyre nice and lubed either use a 1/2" drive ratchet or an impact and run in the shorter of the two bolts. now measure from the top of the tire to the bottom of the fender to determine a number example is 11". now run in the other bolt to make the other side even. DONE.

Thanks for the play by play. Tomorrow sounds like as good a day as any to take care of this mod. I'm excited that it is so easy to fix the rake. Tires and alignment to follow shortly

It will need a alignment after cranking the torsion bars.

From what I've been reading the new keys are supposed to alleviate the stiffness, is that true? I don't think 1.5" on the stock bar keys will make it that much stiffer

Finally turned the stock keys today, I neglected to measure the front height before I lifted it so I am unsure how much I did, it is now level with the rear though which is all I wanted. Does anyone know how much they had to lift the front to get it level? I need new tires and I'll probably go with 285/70's. Thanks for the input.

not sure on exact measurements. I had mine cranked all the way before my lift and I didnt notice it being too still. also they handle like **** after a suspension lift anyways so what does it matter, also its a truck not a caddy. Im glad you opted out of the keys, theyre terrible for your suspension
