Default 1999 f150 battery

Good morning all, my mother is having trouble with her 1999 f150. My father tried boosting the battery to her 03 escape and he had the polarity reversed on the cables. Now when she goes to try and turn on her f150 it doesn't start and there's a clicking noise in the dash. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The clicking was coming from the "battery saver relay." replaced it and it still to make a continuous clicking sound. I believe you might be right. The truck does not want to start. Thanks for thr help.

Have you tried to jump the starter relay?

Check fuses. Possibly fried the PCM or other electronics.

Probably fried the GEM. You'll want to start at the battery and start checking lines and fuses working you way into the electrical system.

or the battery might just be fried. try jumping the relay on the firewall and replace the battery if you aren't getting any juice
