I had a missfire under load a few weeks back so it was suggested to clean the MAF sensor, the throttle body and replace the plugs. I did all that. Used Autolite plugs, and the MAF was ok. The throttle body definately needed a cleaning.

Now under full load it pulls strong. Under light to moderate acceleration it missess big time. Driving down the highway you wouldnt know anything was wrong untill you give it just a little. The full bore power is now really good, but normal evryday driving isnt. What happened? Im going to put on wires this weekend. There are no codes at all and the scan tools dont show anything however a big mechanics machine states a missfire. Any ideas on this. I should have left well enough alone and lived with not going full throttle ever, but if something is not right, it should be fixed right?

I would of recommended to use motorcraft plugs, but anyway, did u gap the plugs correctly? Changed Fuel filter? How about codes?

 

Yes i used motomaster plugs, not autolite sorry. Gapped properly too and a new fuel filter as well. There are no codes on the dash at all.
