I am buying new seats(10th gen seats), drivers side is powered. Does the 98 XLT have the power hookup for power seats underneath my current seats?

XL does not, XLT possibly and Lariat does have the wiring there. This seat is very easy to add power to if you aren't wired. The green wire is hot and black is ground. You can hook to the right-side panel electronics or fuse tap it to the main fuse panel by your right knee. Very easy to add.

2003-06 Expy seats also bolt in and have some mice patterns available.

My 99 XL has the green wire in the passenger side kick panel. And the fuse and relay is in the distribution box under the hood.

I put an 02 xlt power leather seat in my 98 F250xl(same body as F150 that year).
There was no plug under the seat, and I didn't think there would be.
I grounded it at the seat and ran a power wire to the fuse box.
Worked great.

Both my '99 and my papaws '97 had a power sliding seat. Both were XLT and both are deceased
