can i get a step tail gate for my 98 f150?

 

If its a straight side yes. You can get an 08+ SuperDuty tailgate with one and use it

 

So an 08 tailgate will fit on my 98. here is a pic of mine.

is it just a stock 08 tailgate or is there a name for it?

 

any 2008 ford f-250 or above tailgate should work if I'm not mistaken

 

or are there any mods i can do to mine to make a step? i have f250 suspension so my truck sits a little higher then stock. i just want a little step of some sort?

 

It's just any SuperDuty tailgate newer than 08 with the step that will work. But it will work on yours. You just have to modify a bracket some, a member that's done it will probably step on here and tell you what you'll need but it does fit.

no, the superduty tailgate would work best and easy if you can find one....I've seen steps like some people put on the sides under the bumper....IDK if that'll work on yours, but I figured I could throw it out there
