1998 f150 trans code issues-please help
Hey guys, I am having a heck of a time with my 97/98 cab change over.I am getting speed sensor codes with speedometer and shifting problems. My 98 did not have abs but the 97 did. I am using the 97 cab and bed and the 98 chassis/motor etc.The abs is not hooked up.I am getting code p0720 with tran shifting hard and speedometer all over the place. My question -Is there a way to trick the comp/abs system to stop some of these problems? I have the orig.brake system from the 98 and they work great but the abs light is on along with all these issues. I don,t have any front wheel sensors on the 98 frame but have the wiring from the 97 that did have abs.The trans will shift but does hard and od is not working.

Well, I'll just answer your question vrs a few of my own. No. It will need reprogramming. Never change anything as far as harnesses /wiring to the truck you want to work. Best way - keep it the way it was and change the cab. Confused me, not sure why the attempt was made. Use the correct original stuff and just fix it if it's broke..less hassle that's for sure.
