I will take everyones suggestion and just use an aftermarket temp gauge. The more I think about the problem, its like a previous post said and sparked my memory, the 2000 used only the CHT and the 97 used only the ECT. So my PCM may not know how to handle the info it is getting to get it to the gauge correctly. Thanks again for the help and info.
