Here is the issue. When I turn the key if both the ABS and check engine light comes on it starts right up. If only ABS light comes on without the check engine light the motor will just crank like its not getting gas. I have to keep turning key back and forth until both lights come on for it to start.

 

Check the connection on the PCM (computer) behind the battery. Sometimes the commection gets a little corroded and dirty. If connection is not right truck could act quirky.
