Default 1997 replace headlight assembly,how

I saw a video on how to pull both tabs up holding the light assembly but they will not come out. Seems there is something else holding them in. I removed the turn signal assembly without any help. Video said to pull up tab then push away until there is a click. No clicking here and I'm afraid of breaking something. 1997 F150 4x4, 4.6v8. Thanks....

What is the production date on the drivers side door tag? 1997's have 2 designs.

Those tabs can get stuck pretty easy. Remember that's all that's holding the light in so it should be VERY tight. I had to get a long screw driver to pry it up. Also if the PO took it out and moved the adjustment screw (that's what the clips hold on to) and just jamed it in it will be a huge PITA to get back out. I did that once, it was not fun.

Also if I remember right there is a screw in the corner lamp.

If you have an early 97, they suck. Early 97's are a 6/96 DOM or earlier. I have a 6/96 truck.

I am the original owner of the vehicle so those lifgts have been in for 20 years without those tabs being moved at all. I watched the video again and sprayed the tabs with WD-40 and everything unstuck perfectly and all went rather easy. Thanks to everybody that replied.
