My son's 1997 4x4 4.6 liter xlt broke the main leaf spring on the pass side last night. I started looking for a used one and am told Ford has quite a few different codes for these things. I found a guy parting out a few of these trucks but we dont know which ones will fit. Will I be ok if I just make sure its out of a 4.6 4x4 xlt? Also any tricks to getting these off and back on. His broke rt at the axle so its now at about a 45 degree angle facing up at the front of the rear end.
