door panel removal?
so any of you guys remember how you got the door panel off with out breaking the plastic tabs or whatever it is that is holding the door panel on to the metal part of the door? I found some pretty good info on the repair on another ford web sight with some good pics .... tried to post them but guess files are too large..

I just had the same problem. I just sold my 97 supercab to a friend and the 3rd door was locked up. I figured i would share my my fix for anyone who has this problem in the future. My cable and yellow plastic piece were still in tact. It was the top latch that wasnt working. So i pulled out the plastic "holder" (for lack of better words) and found out that instead of being broke, mine had just stretched out. So i pulled the cable out of the holder, put the holder back on the wire instead of the threaded end piece. Then i stretched out the cable and put 3 zip ties on the end so it would be tighter. Much like the throttle response trick we see on here all the time. I put the "holder" back in its place and it works like a charm

Partsgeek.com (and others) have FORD Door Latch Cable Repair Kit for third door cable repair kit (DOORMAN 936-111) with aluminum ends to replace FORD plastic ends. Note that one is different size than other three. Be ready to do some swearing and "convincing" them to go into holders with vise grips and large screw driver. I am pretty sure YouTube can walk you through the whole process.
