Hi everyone. Back to the old problem with the 4x4 not engaging proberly. I have read many posts about this problem and have not found one which explains MY specific problem. Where to start...
Both solenoids have 12v min going to them. The floor shifter moves but does not engage the front axle. No lights on dash either. It will go into 4Low, rear axle only! The red vacuum line ALWAYS has vacuum. The actuator on the axle works fine. If I switch the red and blue lines around on the actuator (red/vacuum) it of course puts me in 4x4 permanently.
Now it seems to me the shifter is not sending signals to the solenoids. There are also replays for the 4x4, two of them. Where are they and should you feel them clicking when you move the floor shifter? If they don't click at all what does that mean?
I will post this to start and wait for a reply. Thanks for helping with this.
