I don't know how much for an "old set" but a brand new "NEW OLD STOCK" in the box headlight and mounting assembly for 60. bucks! is the way to go! Especially when there are others selling their old crappy used ones for the same price..I feel lucky!..now just need to find a right side!

Good luck... I am very impressed if you found a NOS headlight for a 6/96 and earlier truck. Nice find!

Maybe so... I hope so for your sake. I would be insanely jealous if I hadn't already bought Lightning headlights for mine. I have to switch out my header panel now.

may be known already?...checked a 2002 expedition (same as f150)..a pre 6/96 "just headlight" WILL work on later models..and the post 6/96 just "headlight" will work on pre 6/96 ( all the same mounting platform, fits perfectly!)...just the corner light is different..the one piece aftermarket assembly well..? I'll see if I can "make" that fit! LOL.. I do a lot of fabrication in my shop...we'll see??.. Thanx for looking... Forrest..p.s. got the NOS one from ebay..it is perfect!

No it won't. The mounting tabs are different, and there is not enough room to adjust the headlight if you make the hole line up to put the headlight harness on the bulb. Been there, done this exercise already.... if it woulda worked, my truck would have them.

If you look at this pic.... I've got this in the only position that I could actually get it to go into the recess. The headlight was aimed, almost maxed towards the left, just to clear it (see square). I thought.... "what if I cut it?" - but, then you'd have to modify the mounting tabs because the channel the tab resides in is where it would have to be cut.... Not DOT safe, IMO. Also, the retainers for the adjusters are held in with pressure on the 6/96 and older trucks. The later trucks use a clip.... the 6/96 and older setup doesn't even allow it to go in far enough for the clip to go on the retainer (see arrow).
