I have a 1997 f150 with the 5.4 motor and a e40d transmission, been trying to get it lined out the speedometer bounces, it shifts hard, and i now have to let off the gas to get it to shift, every once in a while it will get jump out of gear, also the shifters real tight hard to pull down into gear, i hooked the computer up to it and pulled a code for the speed sensor i replaced it and cleared out the code and its not throwing any codes but the speedometers still bouncing around and still the same shifting problems
