Default Help with keyless remote Install

I am trying to reinstall a Valet 712T keyless entry modular. This system was working prior to me refurbishing my cab.
I have a 1989 F250 XLT Lariat which had power locks and windows from the factory. I simply had the aftermarket keyless installed by a professional some 4 years ago. All worked fine until...

My issue is that I have now gotten the unit hooked up so that the interior switches work as they should and the "fob" works to unlock the doors but I can not seem to figure out why the "fob" lock function will not work.

I have reversed the wires and all that does is reverse the lock/unlock function. I was wondering if anyone might have some guidance for this poor sap.
Thanks in advance,
Critter

Default Install location.

It took me two hours due to the dashboard and finding the damn wires.
I wound up getting a Docooler RKE module off of Amazon for $20. I followed a post on Amazon that detailed wiring for a 97 cavelier,.which used the same polarity reversing lock system. The instructions with the Docooler are horrid.

I tried to use the harness under the dash on the driver's side, but found I needed 3 skinny arms, or I would have to take the steering column out to get any kind of success in that location. After fighting for almost an hour to just splice the white/black wire in, I eventually gave up, stuck a wire nut on the cut wire, and looked for a different spot..

I found one in the pop up panel above.the glove box, all the door lock wires run through there, I had to run power up from the fuse panel, and the wires for the parking lights up to that location, but it was a hell of a lot easier to work with. Will provide pictures and a wiring diagram when I have cleaned everything up.

Works great, and was a pretty easy install after I got the location sorted out.

Cheers,
Richard
