1997 5.4L Engine upgrades
Hi all and TIA for any and all replies,
I have a 1997 F250 light duty (under 8700 GVW, basically an F150 upgraded to 3/4 ton specs). This truck has an early 2V 5.4L engine which is still in good condition, runs fine but has always lacked good power and torque which I need for towing. I am considering upgrading the engine to the PI heads and PI intake manifold and bolting on a set of shorty headers. Does anyone know what year Ford started using the PI heads on the 2V 5.4L motors? I'd like to find one in a wrecking yard I can pull the parts I need off.
