Default 10th Gen Tuner / Programmers

I am making this thread due to gaining more interest in purchasing a tuner for my truck. I have not noticed any recent threads for the 10th Generation F-150's who have programmers and their feedback on the product, or any advice before purchasing.

I have a 2000 Ford F-150 XLT which I use for hauling, and I would like a programmer to help change my shift points, and possibly help the fuel economy. Another thing that gained my interest was that you are able to see all the diagnostics of your truck of how its running.
One more plus is that I just did a leveling kit and I will be upgrading tires obviously to a bigger size so with the programmer I read that I can change the speedo/gear ratio.

I would like to see other memebers who use a programmer and their experience with the product, and advice on which would work best for certain situations. I also would like to see pictures of how they are mounted in your truck!

Tons of posts here on tuners. about 10 posts specifically asking the same thing you are in the first 50 posts.

Most answers will be get a SCT. 5 Star Tuning and MPT are highly recomended, but there are others out there for tunes.
x3 (old model) and x4 (new model) models are not left connected to the vehicle and are not meant to be used for constant monitoring. The SCT Livewire is the one that is left connected all the time for continuous monitoring.
SCT also has a unit (ITSX) that used bluetooth and your smart device to do the same as the Livewire, just on a mobile device.

You will not see any significant improvement in mileage, and would take decades (if ever) to recoup the cost of the device/tunes, so don't get it for that. It can help with the shifting and will definitely let you adjust for tire size.
Most I have seen are mounted on the drivers a-pillar area.

I know for a while there were some issues with the Edge tuners, but think that has all been worked out.

I bought a superchips programmer and run the 87 octane tune. I also have it compensating for 35 inch tires and 3.55 gears. The best milage I can get is 15hi/12 city HOWEVER, I can get those tires spinning from a dead stop and the shifts are night and day difference. As far as tracking anything though I wish I had an active mpg guage but this tuner, it programs then you unplug it and drive away!
