Default 10th gen gurus diagnosis this clunk

To the OP. I have a few questions I think my 03 clunk is just as you described yours. Does your tcase make a grinding noise when in 4 hi and 4lo ar low speeds?. Does your tcase always go in and out of 4wd?. Do you sometimes get your "clunk " when your just cursing and you shift into OD?.
Do you have any vibrations when you let off the throttle. I'm pretty sure my t-case shot but also wondering about the tail bearings and races in my transmission
Edit: my clunk is usally after Iet off the gas

Slipping/Faulty Torque Converter Clutch. No clunk on manual 1 and 2? A slipping TC can cause your tranny to overheat.

Actually a slipping torque converter will make your transaction run hotter. But the BS about to in a ohc or ohv is mute.

Mine is the opposite clunks when i get in the throttle.
T case makes no noise other wise. Operates quietly in all positions. No OD clunk either

I talked to a guy at ford and he told me it's probably my t-case. He also told me it can get the clunk from getting on ornoff the throttle. Just depends on what's bad. He also said it's unlikely there anything wrong with my tranny if it's not slipping.
